Delete your account
Effective date: September 4, 2026 · Last updated: September 23, 2026
Delete your Zaphyr Stream account and its cloud data from inside the app on Android, iPhone or iPad, or by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app
- Open Menu (☰) → Settings → Privacy & storage → Delete account. On a wide Android screen, such as a tablet or landscape window, Settings is in the side navigation instead of the menu.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete account. On iPhone or iPad, if you signed in with Apple, you will also be asked to confirm with Apple so the app's access to your Apple ID is revoked.
If you are signed in, your cloud data is deleted first, immediately: every record stored under your account, including synced favorites, watch progress, most-watched channels, category usage, hidden categories, profiles and settings, then your sign-in sessions are revoked and your Zaphyr Stream sign-in record is deleted. Only then does the app erase what is on that device: profiles, favorites, watch progress and history, saved playlists with their passwords and tokens, and cached catalogue and artwork. If the cloud step fails, nothing is removed and you can try again.
As a guest there is no cloud account, so only the data on that device is erased. Other devices where you were signed in lose access to the account, but what is stored on them stays there until you sign out, delete the app, or clear its data on each one.
By email, without the app
If the button does not open email, write to barqora@outlook.com with the subject Zaphyr Stream account deletion.
- Send the request from the Google or Apple email address you used to sign in, if you still have access to it. Include that email address and say you want the account and its data deleted.
- We verify ownership before deleting data. If you no longer have access to that email, contact us for another verification method. Never send your password or provider credentials.
- We aim to complete deletion within 30 calendar days after verification and confirm by email. Applicable shorter legal deadlines take precedence.
What is deleted
Your Zaphyr Stream sign-in record and everything stored under your account in our cloud: profiles, preferences, favorites, watch progress, most-watched and category usage, hidden categories, synced settings, playlist details where present, and sync records. Deletion is permanent. Your Google or Apple account and your media subscriptions remain active, and any Zaphyr Pro subscription is managed and cancelled in Google Play or the App Store, not by deleting your account.
Also remove device data
Deleting your account in the app also erases that device's data. Otherwise, on Android use Settings → Apps → Zaphyr → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall. On iPhone and iPad, remove your playlists in the app before deleting the app, because iOS can keep Keychain items after an app is deleted. Remove offline copies and exported files separately. Clearing local data or uninstalling alone does not delete your cloud account.
What may remain, and for how long
- Account and cloud data: kept while your account exists. Deleting your account in the app removes it immediately. For requests by email, our target is to complete deletion within 30 calendar days after we verify the request; if a shorter legal deadline applies, we follow it, and we will explain any necessary delay.
- Support messages: retained for up to 90 days after your request is closed, then deleted from our active mailbox. We keep only what is needed to resolve your request.
- Device data: stays on your device until you remove it in the app (for example by removing a playlist or deleting your account), clear the app's storage in Android Settings, or delete the app. On iPhone and iPad, iOS can keep Keychain items after an app is deleted, so remove your playlists or use Delete account first if you want saved passwords erased for certain. Offline copies and files you exported may need to be removed separately.
- Technical records: our infrastructure providers apply their own retention schedules; Google Cloud keeps request logs for its own periods. Crash reporting and analytics are switched off in the apps, so they hold no data from them. Deleting an account does not instantly erase every infrastructure log or backup.
- Limited exceptions: records required for legal obligations, security investigations, or dispute resolution may be retained only as necessary for that purpose. We explain applicable exceptions when responding to a deletion request unless legally prohibited.
For access, correction, or a request about specific data rather than the whole account, email barqora@outlook.com. See the privacy policy for details.
